Over 200 years ago, the Alter Rebbe, R. Shneur Zalman of Liadi, innovated a new style of writing STA”MAn acronym for Sefer Torah, Tefillin and Mezuzahs. The purpose of this style was to bridge the gaps between the many styles of STA”M writing that were being used around the world.
In order to accomplish this, he designed a new form for each letter that conformed to as many halachic and kabbalistic opinions as possible. This created a very delicate and nuanced KsavStyle of writing STAM which very few SofrimTorah Scribes in the world know how to write.
The Henig family are known worldwide as experts in the Alther Rebbe’s Ksav.
